Privacy policy
The German version of this page is the legally binding one.
This website uses no cookies, tracking or analytics. This page explains which data is still processed when you visit.
1. Controller
Islam Mesabah, contact details in the imprint, email: islam.r.mesabah@gmail.com.
2. Hosting on GitHub Pages
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested page and browser information in server log files, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is providing the site securely and reliably. Data may be transferred to the USA. GitHub is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details: GitHub privacy statement.
3. No cookies, no tracking
I use no cookies and no analytics or advertising services. If you switch the colour theme or language, your browser stores that choice in local storage. It never leaves your device, and you can delete it in your browser settings at any time. The basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, because this storage is strictly necessary for a function you requested.
4. Fonts
All fonts are served from this site. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other third party.
5. External links
Video thumbnails, logos and all other images are part of this site and served from it, so your visit does not contact YouTube or any other service. The site links to external services such as Google Scholar, GitHub, Hugging Face, LinkedIn, X, ORCID, dblp, OpenReview, ResearchGate, LeetCode and YouTube. Data is sent to those providers only when you click such a link, and their privacy policies apply.
6. Contact by email
If you email me, I use your details only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). To exercise them, email me. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
